SSssssssh, don't tell everyone....... Clitheroe is a nice friendly place to visit. Clitheroe is a nice friendly place to visit. The market is very good with it's fresh produce. The Castle is worth a visit with fabulous views for miles around. The only thing it lacked was dog friendly eating places, we only found 2 and one was closed. We got the weather and a glimpse of summer there. We loved the walks and views from the farm. We are true townies, but with a little help spotted birds nests in the hedges, deer on the fells, and with lambing almost over walked through fields full of newly born lambs. The resident badger (Freda's pet?? ) kept a low profile tho'. We thoroughly enjoyed talking to Darrell and Freda to get an insight into farming life with it being a complete contrast to ours.
