I met a lot of people from different countries and I think there was a really strong community. At first I learned how to be kind to everyone and try to be really supportive to others, but I also got amazing help in my English and it really helps me now to understand in lessons as well as understanding and talking to other people. For the first time in my life I had a grade A+ in Science, which was like 'Wow, I did it! ' because for me, Science is quite difficult. I also got an award for netball for the most improved player which I am really proud of as I had never played Netball before. I think TSIMS is the best place to come, because it's not too big so it's not overwhelming, you can easily make friends and it really feels like home! ' Hakan, from Turkey studying A-levels (Maths, Computer Studies and Economics) 'I started studying at Taunton School International before moving on to the Senior School to study A-levels in Computer Science, Economics and Maths. I chose to come to this school after speaking to an agent and then visiting several schools in the UK.
The day started with everyone heading off to the local bowling alley for a game of skittles. The students took turns working in teams to win prizes and be crowned the Skittles Champions 2013! Upon returning to The Grange, Taunton School nursery celebrates Chinese new year! To celebrate Chinese New Year 2013, Mrs Hallworth took a group of Taunton School International students – Zoe, Jade, Momoko, Bonnie, Nicky, Mike, Anders, Rebecca, Bob, and Jason – to Taunton Nursery school to help some of our younger students experience one of the most important traditions in the Chinese calendar. The Taunton School Taunton School International pupils visit the Whatley Quarry The weather was fantastic (if a little windy) and the Somerset Earth Science Centre provided a beautiful and informative base for their studies. As well as learning about the quarrying process and the uses of limestone, they looked at the environmental impact of quarrying. Visiting the working quarry in high visibility jackets and hard hats, Taunton School International House Hockey Competition On Thursday 28th February Taunton School International took part in the annual Taunton School boy's house hockey competition.
