I'm not trying to be rude, but the cliffside roads are just so winding that the whole experience was just hellish. The ferries are about 12 euros one way, which is 6x more expensive than the bus, but that money is so worth it. Plus, you get really great views! Bring your own towels The number one activity in Positano is to just lay on the beach, which seems like it wouldn't be that expensive, but think again! What, did you think you'd be allowed to exist on the beach without paying? Really, it would be fine to just lie on the public side of the beach, except for the fact that it's a stone beach, and it's really not comfortable to just sit on it. But if you're really determined to do this on a budget, bring your own towel and it'll lessen some of the discomfort. Otherwise, a chair and umbrella will set you back around 20 euros during high season. Bring sunscreen! You might be reading this like, um, duh Claire, obviously I'm going to bring sunscreen to a beach town. But I want to stress this point, because this is where my friends and I royally screwed up.

It is set in Positano, 300 metres from Spiaggia del Fornillo and 600 metres from Positano Port. WiFi is free throughout. Everything was perfect! Breathtaking view and the staff was very friendly. Homemade croissants and the cappuccino were super delicious! We really miss this place! Villa Pietra Santa Arienzo, Positano Villa Pietra Santa is set on the seafront in Positano, 1 km from Spiaggia Grande. Among the various facilities of this property are a garden and a sun terrace. Free WiFi is also available throughout the property. This hotel/room was just incredible from start to finish. We paid quite a bit of money for this room and it was worth every penny. The main feature of this room was obviously the outside bath and it was just lovely. The location was also great, it took us around 10-15 to walk into Positano but that was quite a nice walk after some food in the evening. The Villa provide private access to the Arienzo Beach Club (a must visit). Overall, I would highly recommend. Also, the breakfast in bed was a great touch!

Dimora del Podestà Situated in Positano, 500 metres from Positano Spiaggia, Dimora del Podestà features air-conditioned accommodation and a restaurant. The property is set 1. 7 km from Church of Santa Maria Assunta, 4. 4 km from Spiaggia del Fornillo and 30 km from Path of the Gods. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. This is simply an amazing place to stay. Our visit was in the start of the season, and although a lot of things in Positano were not open, our host was incredibly welcoming to share tips and ideas of how we can have the best stay there. The room was sparkling clean, and the BEST thing of all was the included tasty homemade breakfast in the room!! I hope to visit soon and enjoy this wonderful place Casa Malu Situated within a 15-minute walk of Positano Port in Positano, Casa Malu features self-catering accommodation with free WiFi, a seating area and a flat-screen TV. Each unit is fitted with air conditioning, private bathroom and a kitchen including a toaster, fridge and a stovetop.
Everything is great. The hostess is lovely. The view from the room was breathtaking and location ideal. All of positano was an easy walk. The breakfast was really nice and room was very clean and spacious. I would love to come back again. Show less
