Very good kitchen facilities. I highly recommend it if you are a budget traveler and want cheap accommodation. Anandhakumar Solo traveller I was traveling as a solo traveller and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was a separate lounge and kitchen upstairs next to the female-only dorm where I stayed and the hostel was always warm. If you're looking for a budget, friendly hostel in the city, this is a great choice. Kitchen available, you can wash your clothes 🙏 That is better than in standard hotels. Something between rbnb and hotel but much cheaper. Clean, good location. 100% recomendable! Clean and very centrum! Nice kitchen and nice staff! Really great! A 'make yourself at home' kind of place with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room and laundry room if needed. Staff were very helpful and kind and check-in was a key-less breeze. They do so by categorizing hotels and Guest Houses and then fixing rates for these categories. Hotels are categorized under "A, B., C and D" and Guest Houses under "Upper, Medium and Economy" categories. Here are the links for listed hotels and prices for 2014 on Govt. website () My question is, are they implemented for real? For example I recently booked an economy guest house (voted among top 10 on TripAdvisor) for Rs 1200 double room (without meals) but according to the list this guest house is eligible to max charge of Rs. 550. To top that there is 25% discount during lean season applicable till April 30th. 1. The boat to Lundy can be notoriously bumpy! Check the weather report the day before and buy seasickness tablets! Once the boat docks at Landing Bay on the island's South coast, there's a pretty strenuous 10-15 minute climb up the rough road hewn into the cliffs up to the tiny village centre. Less mobile visitors can queue to take the rather bumpy, but free ride up in the Land Rover by cheerful staff. They'll happily do several trips but you might have to wait a while for them to return – sit back, relax and get into the much more chilled out island pace of life. There's a steep 20 minute walk up to the village from where the boat drops you. Less able visitors can take the free land rover. Staying on Lundy – the first few hours Once you've reached the tiny village, staff will check you in from the office. Don't expect the accommodation to be ready for you, it probably won't be ready until later in the day. So sink a pint in the local pub, The Marisco Tavern, or drop your bags at your accommodation on Lundy and take a short hike and start exploring.
