North Sydney is a suburb located on the Lower North Shore of Sydney, three kilometres from the CBD. The suburb serves as the administrative centre in the local government area managed by the North Sydney Council. The suburb's past is steeped in the Aboriginal culture, where locals referred to it as "warung", meaning 'the other side'. Staff are very friendly and helpful. On site you can make use of the fire pit which is set behind the chalets. It makes a nice change from staying in hotels and is perfect if you have children. It's so beautiful and peaceful away from the traditional tourist areas of the Lakes and the kids can play in total safety and freedom. Easy to find and ample parking although it can get a bit tight if all of the residences are occupied. This year we stayed in a lodge for the first time (no. 3) so we had our own parking spotšjust outside the front door. Lodge is bigger than the six chalets with an extra bedroom and a bigger bathroom. Two boys were in single beds together in one room and daughter was in the bunk bed room.
