Well, I'm here to try and solve both of those issues. As you can see at, you will be able to find some amazing places to stay while in Hobart, but we will get to that later. Mount Wellington If you are interested in experiencing the most beautiful view of the whole city while also being surrounded by perfect landscapes, and I am guessing that everyone is interested in that, then my first suggestion is Mount Wellington.

You can just enjoy and get lost in the whole scenery, or you might want to take a few memorable photographs. Mount Wellington is like a place from a fairy-tale, so you can rest assured that your photos will be amazing. There are a couple of ways you can reach Mount Wellington. The easiest one is, of course, by car. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, though, you can join a tour group and conquer the mountain on foot with the help and the assistance of a tour guide. In case you need even more adrenaline, you can climb it on foot all on your own, but I must warn you that you shouldn't even try this if you don't know what you are doing. It takes some skills, which is why a tour guide is your perfect option. The Museum Of Old And New Art (MONA) Speaking of culture, it would really be a shame to leave Hobart without visiting the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) which has been opened in 2011. Don't let the exterior of the museum fool you, since it is only one story tall. When you actually enter the place, it sinks three levels into the ground, while revealing beautiful new and old art all the way. I'm pretty sure you don't want to miss out on the experience of going below ground to see Ancient Egyptian sarcophagi and other amazing works. How To Find Accommodation The above mentioned places are only a fraction of what you will be able to see in Hobart, but you will also need somewhere to sleep, leave your things, eat and freshen up from time to time. If you don't think that accommodation is that important, let me just remind you of the fact that the experience of visiting even the most beautiful place on Earth will certainly be tarnished and spoiled if you end up staying in an unpleasant and disagreeable hotel.

Unfortunately one of the three single beds is in the main room, with a queen-sized bed, kitchen facilities and dining table to seat 6. Plenty of room for a family. The bathroom could do with a better, more thorough clean & a freshen up, and the inclusion of an exhaust fan is very much needed. Easy walk to waterfront, Salamanca Markets, restaurants and cafes. We stayed for a week, and it was Thursday - Saturday night, that the pub across the road was open.
