The biggest downfall with this resort is that it is not on the beach. However, it is only 3 minutes across the road to the Palm Beach. They also offer a shuttle to the beach if you'd prefer not to walk. I think this resort is great for families, honeymooners and people with mobility issues. If you are a beach person who wants the beach right at the resort, this property may not be for you. Aruba is such an amazing Island with a distinct culture and lots to do. Makakatana Bay Lodge Set on the shores of Lake St Lucia within the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, this luxury lodge offers spacious accommodation within this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Everything was at it's best, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable oh don't want to talk about the pillows. Good was nice, their breakfast is excellent. We are currently touring SA and have been experiencing a lot of different accommodations.
