It features pristine golden sands bordered by dunes and coastal vegetation. The main access point to the beach is from the park located on Shoreline Drive, just south of Surf Edge Drive. This park has a large grassed area with BBQ and picnic shelters. A pathway leads from the park to a viewing platform which provides panoramic views along the coast. Steps from the viewing platform lead directly down to the beach below. A great feature of Golden Beach are the numerous foreshore camping areas which are located along Shoreline Drive. Direct access to the beach via pathways across the sand dunes is provided from these camping areas. On the beach, around 6½ kilometres south-west of the Golden Beach town centre, is the Trinculo wreck. In 1879, a gale caused this cargo sailing ship to strike a sandbar just off the coast, forcing it ashore. The remains of this vessel can still be seen on the beach today. To visit the wreck, drive to the signposted car park on Shoreline Drive and then follow the shady track through the coastal vegetation and across the sand dunes to the beach where the wreck is.

Mawi Beach This spot is roughly a 20-minute scooter ride from Kuta, and the scenery here is spectacular. The wave breaks over a fairly sharp reef, but this spot has good waves year round. When the swell is big double overhead conditions are common, offering steep drops and barrels. Both breaks are affected by wind and this spot is generally best at mid tide. Seger Reef This is the closet break to Kuta, and it is often best when the swell is smaller. This spot holds many of Kuta's best surf comps including the Rip Curl Gromm Search, and has a nice barrel section when the conditions are right. It is a powerful right-hander, and often best after heavy rains. The large hill next to the parking lot offers panoramic views and amazing sunsets. Mawun Beach Located 20 minutes from Kuta this beach has large hills protecting it on either side. Perfect for relaxing, swimming, and hiking for people of all ages. It is also a great place to surf, with both a left and right-handed peak and great protection from the wind.

My best friend and I are fulfilling a lifelong dream of ours by going to Japan in March and we would love to hear some advice regarding anything and everything that I will write in this post. Specifically, my friend will travel with me for one month starting March 19 and I will stay one month longer on my own, leaving May 13. For context, we are both European guys in between high school and university/civil service and will turn 20 during the trip itself. As such, my budget is around 550 000 yen, give or take, over two months (I have bought the plane tickets already) and my friend's would be around half of that, maybe a little more. This includes everything from accommodation to train tickets and food. Obviously, if we can spend less, we will certainly try. As this will be a "backpacking-style" trip, we only have a very rough way plan and will otherwise wing it as much as possible. We will arrive at Tokyo Haneda Airport on the morning of the 19th and plan to spend only a few nights here (we'll be back at the end) at a capsule hotel so we can rest well from the jet lag.

Oh and when I say people, I'm mostly talking about rich people or anybody with enough disposable income to worry about this stuff. It happens a lot in the US and in Europe but a place where it might happen much more than usual is China. You see China has this terrible habit of devaluying their own currency. This helps with exports and with reducing unemployment. But lately, they couldn't keep up with the US (USA Number One!!! ) with the trillions poured into the economy. So, right now, China's Yuan is pretty valuable in comparison with the dollar. But this will not stay that way, or at least the Chinese government will do everyting in their power to not let that happen. It needs a good economy, low unemployment and overall satisfaction of their population or else their power are in danger. And the devaluation of their currency is one of the sure (very easy) ways of doing so.
