Was back home in time for tea. Summary: I absolutely loved my time in Italy however I would've given Bologna a miss next time. I personally didn't enjoy the city as much as I would've hoped. The hostel could've been a factor in that since it wasn't the most sociable place I went to. Milan and Lake Como were my absolute favourites mainly down to the hostel I stayed in. Plus the World Cup was on each night so everyone was in the bar for the match. The atmosphere was phenomenal and I would definitely recommend anyone going to Milan to stay in Ostello Bello. Rome was amazing too for the history. My experience in Florence could've been better if I booked hostels way beforehand rather than last minute. I met some amazing people in Italy and still continue to speak with them to this day. Even making plans to go to Peru with someone I met in Milan! Also, if you go to Italy, don't just eat pizza. Have some pasta. It's better than what you can make at home. 4 months later and I still can't make the authentic carbonara with eggs instead of cream and I'm just dying for a good carbonara.
