This large Kauri colonial-style villa was originally built in the 1950s. It is surrounded by native gardens, home to a variety of wildlife. Marlin House B&B is 4. 4 km from Opua Forest. The experience was a wonderful one for us. We felt we were being welcomed into someones home. We would consider visiting and staying again at the property. Wharepuke Subtropical Accommodation Surrounded by 2 hectares of award-winning subtropical gardens, Wharepuke Subtropical Accommodation features a restaurant and an art gallery. It offers self-contained cottages with free WiFi and a private balcony with garden views. Guests can enjoy the onsite free sculpture trail, featuring art from more than 40 local and international artists. We loved our cottage amongst the tropical plants and flowers. It was spacious and cosy when we had some heavy night time showers. We stayed 3 nights.
