Self Catering Accommodation in Beautiful Surroundings Sithean is a stunning new house on a working hill farm. Sithean, (pronounced shian), means 'fairy knoll' in Gaelic and is built in an elevated position overlooking Glen Lonan. The house commands spectacular views of Loch Etive and the 'Shepherds of Glencoe' to the North, Ben Cruachan to the East, and the sun sets over the distant hills of Morvern. Sithean The house is beautifully designed and is full of surprises like the sauna which accesses into the birch woodlands. It sleeps eight and our goal has been to make it as family-friendly, comfortable and unique as possible. We have attained four stars with VisitScotland's Quality Assurance scheme, and have achieved the Gold Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The West Coast town of Oban, known as 'the Gateway to the Isles', is 8 miles away; from there you can take a ferry to many of the inner and outer Hebridean islands.

Wooo, we did it! And it was absolutely perfect. First off -- pictures! Fair warning: I had a hard time choosing, so there are lots. General: Our wedding was semi-destination; we live about 3 hours drive away, and our families were flying in from across the country and then driving into the mountains. Fortunately, no one seemed too bothered by it. We invited 14 guests, and 13 were able to attend. It was sweet and intimate and wonderful, and just... perfect. Attire: Husband: Hugo Boss suit from Nordstrom, cufflinks from Amazon, bow tie from Macy's. Me: Sophia Tolli sample dress from Abeille Bridal, faux fur stole from Amazon, boots from my closet. MoH: dress and wrap from Amazon, jewelry from Charming Charlie. Jewelry: Necklace and bracelet were from my grandmother, and headpiece was handmade by MIL. Rings are platinum & lab sapphire from Brilliant Earth (mine), and silver & palladium mokume gane from Etsy (husband's). Flowers: I made the flowers out of paper, as my only DIY project. Word of warning: don't bop your new husband with them while trying to take a cute photo.
