Few Points to be taken care of. 1) Avoid going there between March to June, Darshan may take a long time. 2) Preferred time to travel is December to February, during these months the whether is cool and the Que for darshan is very minimal.

We will reach tirupati railway station around 4 AM in the are going to donate our Hair to Lord Balaji. we are not booked any reservation. I am requesting you to advice about how to get the accomodation in thirumala near the temple, and the procedures for hair donation, and the Darshan. Otherwise, after coming to Tirumala you go to booking office you can book. They allot you. But visit temple except holidays. For giving mudi i. e. haircut you get tickets from ttd. It is one place that I frequently visited during my holidays along with family. Went to Akash Ganga, papavinashanam. The Ghat roads and its journey along with views of the valley and nearing temple is an awesome feeling. Mobile and electronic gadgets are usually not allowed. It is a place that is usually crowded during holidays and festivals, so please plan accordingly by booking tickets either in advance or through their website. We have purchase special darshan ticket of R. 300 per head so we were at entrance oft temple in half hour.
If you are off season u can get darshan done in 4-5 hr. Temple is so big u have it take almost 8hr minimum a full day from chennai- tirumala-chennai. Once you reach Supadham, You should fill a form and have to pay ticket price of Rs. 300 per person. Ticket is not required for children below 12 year age. Valid Age documents is required. After the formalities are completed devotees will be allowed in to the que. Only Devotees who are NRIs will be allowed. Relatives and Friends will be not be allowed with them. NRI's who holds OCI card also can get this facility by carrying their OCI card and also their valid passport. Along with above documents carrying any other ID's are also suggested.

in spite of its tall claims, the ttd, even today, is not in a position to provide accommodation in the posh sri padmavathi guest house area either across the counter or through the advance reservation system, and is continuing with the same old system of allotting rooms in this area based on recommendations. likewise, for the `darshan' too, there is a limited number of tickets available under the discretionary quota, which many of the nris are unaware of. though the nris can get suitable accommodation facility in tirupati according to their choice as there are a number of two-star and three-star hotels here, there is no special facility for the `darshan' of the lord, except invariably standing in the queue for `seva' tickets. a few nris who are aware of the discretionary quota, are availing of the same for `seva' tickets and accommodation by showing their passport or visa, to get accommodation in posh areas and `seva' tickets of their choice at the joint executive officer's office. the recent decision of the ttd to go online for advance reservation of accommodation and `seva' tickets from next september, coinciding with the annual brahmotsavam of the lord, would certainly prove to be a boon to the nris as well as to those from far-off places like delhi and kolkata.
